20th Anniversary Walk (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE FROM 20th to 27th.) Sunday 27th September 2026

Meet at 1000 to start walk at 1030. Please note the pub loos will not be open until 1200.

Starting and finishing at The Pilot, Hardwicke, Gloucester, GL2 4QD, this is a circular walk of approximately four miles, almost exclusively on paths and tracks, with a lot of variety including the canal towpath, a gentle hill, a wild wood trail, a pretty village and a section of the River Severn Walk. There will be a short cut home at the midway point. The Pilot is having a change of tenants in September, hence the change of date. On the 27th the pub bar will have re-opened but there will be no cooked food available.  It would be great if people would like to stay for a drink and perhaps bring their own food to eat in the pub garden. The walk and the pub are dog and children friendly. These annual walks started as sponsored events, but have now morphed into a great day for a wide group of people to get together to enjoy a walk (and usually lunch!) together.

Please could you kindly let us know if you are going to join us on the walk  by emailing info@grippers.org.uk
